Big announcement! I'm moving back to Los Angeles in the next month (June 30, 2007 at the latest). There are a number of reasons for my decision, but number one on the list is that I feel somewhat repressed and out of place here in Nashville. I don't want to give off the wrong impression, because I have met plenty of friendly and compassionate people here, but I guess I've just felt like I haven't been able to be myself. I can't express myself, speak my mind, or simply just be. It's the right decision for me careerwise as well. There are ten times the number of opportunities in LA as there are in Nashville within the music and film industries. My family is there. My best friends are there. The strongest portion of my professional network also resides there.

Speaking of moving and such, over the past 3 days, I've been stripping away every bit of my ego by rummaging through trash bins behind places like Staples, Target, and Petco looking for boxes. I think that's how I know I've grown up -- I just don't care what people think. Besides, I'm a woman on a budget and I can't afford to pay hundreds of dollars for boxes -- especially since I just moved to TN in September of last year. I'm proud, but I'm not afraid to get my hands a little dirty. :-) I am a woman on a mission and I want out!

As soon as my career changes become more solidified, I will be sure to let you all know, but for now you'll just have to sit tight! There are some potentially really exciting prospects, but I don't want to jump the gun and speak too soon. One thing I will tell you though, is that you should take a look at www.RevolutionOfRealWomen.org if you haven't done so already. I started a photo group on Flickr.com a long while back, and finally decided that I need to do something with the support I've gotten from so many individuals. I encourage you to check back to both www.RevolutionOfRealWomen.org and www.JBWmusic.com from time to time as I will be zeroing in on those two ventures in the very near future.
